“Peptide therapy” is everywhere. Is it even a useful term?
What do people mean when they say peptide therapy, and is it one kind of treatment or mostly a marketing label?

“Peptide therapy” is a broad marketing and conversational term, not one diagnosis or one standardized treatment. It can refer to FDA-approved peptide medicines used for their labeled indications, as well as unapproved or compounded products. Evaluate the specific product, intended use, evidence, and regulatory status rather than treating the umbrella term as a guarantee.

I think the term can hide too much. Knowing the exact medicine or product makes it much easier to ask a useful question about evidence or regulation.
